What surprised you most about the EMBA program once you started?
The courses in marketing, geopolitics and entrepreneurship were particularly valuable to me. The FIU professors emphasize both theory and practice. I was happily surprised at how the program focuses on real-life business situations vs. historical scenarios that have changed over time. Our professors made it clear that history was important for understanding the evolution of certain circumstances. Most important is putting yourself in a scenario and mapping out results and decisions (financial, personnel, operations etc.) in a real time economy.
