Certificate in Esports Marketing

The Certificate in Esports Marketing is designed to enhance a student’s knowledge and skills in marketing for esports, one of the fastest-growing segments within sports and entertainment, and to address a skills gap within the industry. Students from any major or background will benefit from enhancing their marketing skills and knowledge, participating in experiential learning activities, and engaging with industry professionals. One of the major components of esports is its diverse revenue streams which include sponsorships, advertising, ticket sales, merchandise, streaming, and media rights. Understanding and leveraging these streams effectively is key to an organization's competitive advantage. Thus, in addition to fundamentals of marketing for the esports industry, students in the certificate will have the opportunity to learn about sales and sponsorships, digital marketing and viewership, consumer behavior insights for esports, and esports marketing strategy.
