Karlene Cousins is the founding director of ATOM Think Tank, a real-world technology experiential program for students, and served as director of the Master of Science in Information Systems program. Cousins founded ITWomen NextGen, an initiative focused on increasing the number of women in technology careers. An attorney and technology strategist, she worked in the financial, manufacturing, aviation and healthcare industries. Cousins’ research focuses on the impact of emerging technologies on organizations and society. She is currently a senior editor of the Production and Operations Management Journal and associate editor of the European Journal of Information Systems. Cousins obtained a PhD in Computer Information Systems from Georgia State University and a JD from Northwestern University Pritzer School of Law. She is a graduate of the University of the West Indies in Jamaica, where she earned a BSc in Computer Science and Physics and a Master of Science in Computer Information Systems.
